Pictures that wouldn't load earlier...

It was dads turn for bath...need I say more

When the weather started getting warm I really wanted to get out so we went to Red Creek...but it was still frozen. But it was nice and warm and a beautiful day. So we just ended up having a picnic in the back of the truck. We sat outside for about 2 hours....I remembered to put sunscreen on Ashlynn and keep her in the shade however my arms and face got burned!

again...getting into stuff :) It's her...you caught me look

This is her favorite place to go everytime she's on the floor. And she bonks her head all the time but she still goes for the coffee table

This is the look we are getting often. And then she will smack her lips together like an old man...such a silly child

We finally got a high chair...definitly easier to feed her than in the bumbo seat. She can't look around as much

8 months and stuff

So my baby doll is 8 months and yes my blog is basically dedicated to her :) I ususally write more personal stuff in my other journal and my life pretty much revolves around my family sooo thats what I love to post about. She is doing amazing and growing so fast. Something new that has happened is I have weaned her from breastfeeding. I made this decision for a few months.... first of all in my post about my work day throw in 2 pumpings I would do while at work. It seriously took up so much time, but I feel like I was able to do is as long as I was as a working mama because it gave me the satisfaction of giving my daughter the best :) which would be my milk. But then when she was about 7 1/2 months I wanted to start running again, and wasn't because I was always feeling too full...or she woudln't eat after I'd run and Ashlynn started eating alot more and I was finally able to find a formula she would take without vomiting or only taking a half ounce of (yay for similac advanced!) So i started weaning her and surprisingly it takes alot longer than I thought. I really thought I would lose my milk fast but I still am breastfeeding her a little bit before bed because I can't sleep cause I feel so full. But we were successful and she does just lovely between breast and formula bottle. Go baby! And i feel alot more freedom such as when we go out, we're at friends house, traveling etc. I absolutely loved nursing because of the connection I was able to have with her and how much more healthy it was for her...but I was ready to be done. And 8 months is above average so I felt good about it.

Ashlynn is definitely a steamroller and gets into everything. It's amazing how fast she can get across the floor and get into things she knows she shouldn't be. She is such a little entertainer and loves to make people smile and knows exactly how to do it. She is a good eater and loves to eat cheerios. We're trying to get her used to more food but she still hasn't quite figured out what to do with it in her mouth. sometimes i'll give her something new and she will get it on her tongue then just stick her tongue out and drool all over...it's kinda funny.

****I can't get my pictures to load tonight so i'll try again tomorrow.

Birthday number 25!!!

So I turned 25 this month on the 6th. I have never been a birthday person because things are always made up to be a big thing and then it usually doesn't work out that way. So this year Danny had to work on my birthday and I actually just ended up doing my normal stuff and going to young womens....(yipee...) but then on Friday Danny called and said he had a surprise for me and he got us tickets to go see Brian Regan!! (whom I find quite hilarious). Well....things didn't quite work out all the way for him because he ended up having maintenance work that needed to be done on his plane and so of course, just our luck. He didn't make is home. the show started at 7:00 and he wasn't going to get home till 9 :(. I was super bummed. But my sister was awesome to be my fill in date and we had a great time! I just felt bad Danny wasn't able to make it. But I know he was thinking of me and we were able to spend the weekend together so it was good.

Yes my camera sucks...but just pretend like the man looks like brian regan

My lovely sister Tasha who was my date for the night. we have some good laughs....And no, i don't know who Mrs. funny man is in the background. dang kids

So busy

Sooo...beware I'm going to do a little catch up and makes lots of posts. I started writing in my personal journal again and so the blog kinda went on the wayside. I also have been just really busy. So I decided to post a pretty typical week for me. Danny has been able to get weekends off lately which is great becuase we are able to spend time together....but it sure does keep me running around. soo a typical day for me when Danny is at work usually starts around 6:00 am...give or take 30 minutes. I feed Ashlynn then put her back down while I go get ready for work and eat breakfast. Then I feed the dog and then around 7:10 I get Ashlynn and put her in her carseat then into the car. (I'm so lucky to have such a good baby to go along with our craziness) I then drive to Enoch (15 miles from Parowan) and take Ashlynn to the babysitter where she will sleep untill 9:30ish...then I drive about 8 miles from the babysitters (April) to work. I get to work at about 7:50am and prep for the day till 8:25 then get my students and teach till 3:30. I then do my end of dad prep work and go pick up Ashlynn at 4:00 pm and then my day usually doesn't end there. ( It's a 55 mile round trip on the day's I have to go get ashlynn and that doesn't include if I need to do some shopping).
After work on Monday's I usually pick up Ashlynn and do grocery shopping.
After work on Tuesdays I have a Level lead teacher meeting for work which usually lasts till 4:30
After work on Wednesday's I have young womens at 7:00.
After work on Thrusdays are usually my day off...but sometimes these are the day's that I go visiting teaching or most likely the cleaning because seriously none of it gets done and then on Friday's Danny and I (if he's home will get to go out on a date)

After my after school stuff...(if that makes sense) I now have been going running around 5:30 (which is surprisingly hard with a jogging stroller) and then I feed Ashlynn at about 6:00...do anything that needs to be done then put Ashlynn to bed by 8-8:30. then this is time i can have to myself and it is usually spent showering, watching tv or reading and going to bed by about 9:30 :)
Then Saturdays are spent cleaning or spending time with Danny.

I'm sure this is a typical day for many many moms out there and I commend you cause it's hard. I have found though that even though I have more on my plate now than I ever have, I'm still able to fit it all in and most days I feel pretty good... some days its just hard though. And I do have to commend Danny because when he is home, my day is still usually the same its just I don't have to go to Aprils house to get Ashlynn. Danny is the best Mr. Mom in the world and does so well with her and he actually is the one who does all the cleaning and laundry cause I don't really like doing it...and at the end of my day I really just don't get it done. so thanks babe!!
